  In May 2021 I decided to look into buying a home on Northern Cyprus. Because of the Covid pandemic we couldn't travel down for a viewing trip, so we arranged an online meeting with Gunn and the developer Evergreen. I had been to Northern Cyprus a couple of times before and had fallen for the place. I had done some research online about whom to contact for help along the way, and Gunn quickly came up as someone with good references and someone I came to trust. After the online meeting I was even more certain this was something I wanted to do, and Gunn recommended an apartment in the Deja Blue project. So I bought an apartment without having seen the project before I travelled down later that same summer. I was all the more happy and relieved when I arrived and saw the place I had bought with my own eyes. Gunn had truly suggested a wonderful apartment in a very good location with sea views from every window. I had my viewing trip after buying, and spent a wonderful week with Gunn and her husband, who took us around the island, showed us many beautiful places and gave us a lot of important and interesting information that has been very useful since. Gunn has been a rock throughout the whole process, always answering quickly and guiding me well on every question I have had. She has also been an important link in communicating with the developer whenever something was unclear. I have now taken over the apartment and couldn't be happier.   Through friends we became aware of Northern Cyprus as a potentially lovely holiday destination. We planned a two-week round trip to experience and explore the area. In the back of our minds we were also thinking about having a look at holiday homes. Before leaving we contacted Gunn to arrange viewings during the holiday. The advice we got was so good that we dropped our own plans and booked a viewing trip instead. We found the trip very well organised, with good hospitality, lovely tours and plenty of local knowledge shared. We quickly realised this island had a lot to offer, and ended up buying an apartment.   We landed at Ercan in February 2022 for a viewing trip with Gunn. Before that we had been looking for a holiday place somewhere in the sun. In an ad on Finn.no, Northern Cyprus popped up as an exciting option that seemed more genuine than the other alternatives around the Mediterranean. On the first day Gunn took us round several developments in the Esentepe area. We had indicated beforehand that this was the stretch of coast we were most interested in. We had given both a maximum budget and a wish for a resale apartment as our criteria. But after seeing several of the new developments by Evergreen and Carrington, such as Retreat, Lighthouse, Water Lily Garden and Maldives, something under construction became more tempting. Then we went on to Deja Blue, where a two-bedroom penthouse had just come back on the market because the previous owner had upgraded to a bungalow. Once we had seen this apartment and the fantastic view from the roof terrace, both the budget and the wish for a resale apartment were set aside. We decided there and then, and before we boarded the plane home the contract was signed. The days we spent with Gunn were very pleasant and, not least, educational, as she has great knowledge of Northern Cyprus as a country and of its history. Gunn gave us good help throughout the buying process, from viewing to signing the contract. It is good to feel that kind of security when you are making such a large investment in another country with a different culture and a public administration that swears by manual processes. We can confidently recommend others to do as we did and make the Mediterranean dream come true. We have grown very fond of this island and look forward to using it as a year-round holiday home in the years to come.   On a dreary December afternoon in the Covid year of 2020, we started toying with some wild thoughts about buying a property further south. Northern Cyprus was completely unknown territory to us back then – it wasn't even on our “not an option” list – until we happened to come across an ad from Gunn. After a pleasant phone call, an informative Zoom meeting with Eser at Evergreen and a few more silly and not-so-silly questions from us, we had suddenly signed the purchase contract before the New Year's fireworks went up that same year. Considering that we had never set foot on Northern Cyprus before, and knew nothing about the rules, lawyers, embassies, public bodies and bureaucratic challenges, you need a great deal of trust in your agent. We definitely had that in Gunn, and we haven't regretted it for a second. Ground was broken at Deja Blue Wellness Resort in the winter of 2021, and in the summer of 2023, after a few delightful inspection trips, we could finally turn the key and take over our bungalow. We have already grown incredibly fond of the house. Gunn has guided us through this process in an exemplary way from day one. A purchase like this requires precise and thorough follow-up from the agent. Questions and uncertainties will always come up in such a process, whether on Northern Cyprus or in Norway. Gunn has given us quick answers, good advice and the follow-up we needed in every way. Even after the handover we keep in close contact, and she is still there for us as a matter of course if we have questions.   Imagine getting the chance to buy a small apartment on Northern Cyprus, by the Mediterranean's lovely beaches, in a year-round destination for sun, swimming, mountain hikes and experiences. We took the plunge in February 2020, when The Retreat development at Crystal Bay Marina was still at an early stage of construction. We are very pleased with our choice, and when we arrived at the finished apartment in April 2022, it felt absolutely right. The hiking, the little beach coves and the many restaurants within walking distance were perfect for us. We recommend Gunn Eidhamar in every way when it comes to buying property on Northern Cyprus. For us it started with an email and a phone call in which we explained our needs and wishes. Gunn then knew exactly what she wanted to show my husband and our eldest son when they went on a viewing trip in the winter of 2020. Gunn understood exactly what we needed and what we ought to choose. And she hit the bullseye. We even managed to go up a little in price range to get something much better than we had originally imagined, thanks to good payment plans. We had many questions for Gunn before we decided, including about Northern Cyprus and the political situation there. We felt very secure once we understood that Gunn had a very good understanding of the country, the property market and the political situation.   Buying a holiday apartment abroad can seem both unfamiliar and scary. We had long dreamed of spending more time in a warmer climate as retirement approached, but like so many others, it stayed a dream … until we started reading about Northern Cyprus – and Gunn Eidhamar. We could at least try a viewing trip. And what a trip! Knowledgeable, kind Gunn welcomed us in the best possible way. For three whole days we had her full attention. To cut a long story short, we ended up in a field up by Crystal Bay Marina. A development called The Retreat was to be built there. This was in 2019. We went home as owners of an apartment on a drawing. It was very good to have Gunn during this period. If we wondered about anything (and we did), she was just a message away. Then Covid came. Through Gunn's Facebook group for holiday home owners on Northern Cyprus, we were kept up to date on entry rules and other things that mattered to us.   To be honest: we started out with strong prejudices against buying property abroad, and not least on Northern Cyprus. But when the name Gunn Eidhamar came up as an agent on Northern Cyprus, it was something of a revelation. She was the daughter of the priest who married my wife and me in Borgund Church in Sunnmøre, and who was a good friend of my father-in-law. One of Gunn's sisters is an organist and a good friend of my organist brother. So we had complete faith in Gunn! Gunn also knew a great deal about the conflict between north and south on Cyprus and had a balanced view of the situation. As well as the nature and culture, she told us about very friendly people and a calm environment with almost no crime. So we bought a bungalow in the “Deja Blue” project. The purchase was made from Norway, based on the information Gunn could give us and an inspiring Zoom meeting with Eser from Evergreen and Gunn. The bungalow is due to be finished around Easter 2023. Since the purchase in spring 2021 we have visited twice. Late last autumn we had three wonderful weeks with a guided tour from Gunn and lovely days for swimming and sunbathing. Now we are here again in February – perfect for long walks in varied terrain, cultural experiences and good restaurant dinners in the evenings. Gunn has followed up impressively all the way.

  For us it was a somewhat daring step and investment, but buying an apartment on Northern Cyprus through Gunn Eidhamar has felt serious and safe all the way. We told her what we wanted in terms of location, and Gunn came up with Deja Blue Privilege as a unique option. After a Zoom meeting with Gunn and Evergreen, we felt this was a project that suited us very well. Then followed emails back and forth with Gunn, and the decision was made: we bought a penthouse closest to the sea at Deja Blue, unseen. Absolutely decisive for the purchase were Gunn's helpfulness, integrity, knowledge, experience and promise to hold our hand all the way. She has kept that promise through the process with the lawyer, registration, the embassy, contracts and contact with the developer Evergreen. Whatever the question or issue, she has guided us and sorted things out. She is efficient and quick to respond. The viewing trip, which in our case came six months after the purchase, was valuable. Here too everything went smoothly thanks to Gunn, who told us about the entry and exit rules, arranged taxis to and from the airport and accommodation, and through her contacts conjured up a rental car even though there were practically none to be found that week. We had a day when Gunn took us around to get to know the area, and we were showered with useful tips and advice. Gunn is extremely knowledgeable about Northern Cyprus and the island's history, culture, flora and fauna and culinary scene. She has a great many contacts on the island that are useful for us buyers to be put in touch with. Gunn has been exemplary and invaluable for us “beginners” so far in the process. We look forward to living in an area close to the sea with great walking opportunities.

  Hi Gunn, we are back in rainy Norway, and I want to thank you for your efforts as our guide throughout week 38. Before the trip I was naturally a little nervous, because I had bought a bungalow at Deja Blue in the middle of the pandemic without ever having been to Northern Cyprus. I wouldn't have been so daring if you hadn't come across as a competent, skilled and professional agent. In September we were finally double-vaccinated and the trip became possible. The taxi was waiting in Larnaca as agreed, and the journey north went smoothly because, fortunately, we had all our papers in order.   Famagusta and Terrace Park became our choice of apartment on Northern Cyprus. We are delighted with the apartment, which is right in the centre of Famagusta.   We had been on a viewing trip to Spain before, but felt it was far too crowded and far too expensive for what we wanted. After some searching online we came across something Gunn was selling. We called and spoke to her, and had a very good feeling right away. She told us about the island and what it was like, and asked what we were looking for. We had only been to the Greek side of Cyprus before. There was a resale apartment we wanted to see, but Jan couldn't get away from work at the time, so I took my daughter to look.   After considering a holiday property in the Mediterranean for some time, we chose Northern Cyprus. Our knowledge of and experience with Cyprus came from holidays on the Greek side in the south of the island, including Easter celebrations in April with the sea warm enough to swim in. For us the Spanish coast was out of the question, with its overcrowded tourist areas and relatively high housing and living costs, and Cyprus was in the back of our minds as a good alternative with a pleasant climate all year round. There we immediately found our home in Bahçeli – perfect for us who want peace and quiet, with nature close at hand for walks and bike rides, and yet within walking distance of several restaurants and bars. The house had been in Irish hands for ten years but was very well maintained – something Gunn could confirm. We went for it straight away and bought the house unseen, and we don't regret it! When we arrived at the house for the first time at the handover, Gunn was standing on the steps to welcome us with lunch ready (perhaps just as excited as we were!), and we had a strong feeling that this house had been waiting for us. Gunn is a pleasant and trustworthy agent whom we can warmly recommend. She has been very helpful and accommodating throughout the sales process.

  We went on a viewing trip to Spain in the summer of 2017, after being in touch with Norwegians who sell houses and apartments there. We looked at many different things but didn't find the right one. We also considered other places that didn't quite suit what we were looking for either. That autumn we got to know someone who has an apartment on Northern Cyprus. We did a little googling, got in touch with Gunn Eidhamar, and suddenly we were on a viewing trip at the beginning of November. Gunn showed us many different properties, both villas and apartments – some under construction, some new and some resale. After a few wonderful and interesting days, we found our apartment at Sea Magic: spacious, with a lovely view of the garden, the sea and the pool, a short walk to the bus, a shop and the golf course, and a spa with a pool and gym. Simply everything we could wish for. We could move straight in, as the furniture and furnishings were included. The apartment has been used a lot since we took it over just before Christmas 2017.   In February 2018 we went on a viewing trip to Northern Cyprus, and we brought our daughter Rita along too. Gunn took very good care of us and showed us many places and sights we would never have found on our own. Gunn is extremely knowledgeable, and we heard a lot of fascinating history. She was at our service practically around the clock. Gunn showed us many apartments, both resale and under construction. For us, location was the most important thing – we wanted not just a sea view but also to be close to the sea. In the end we chose a brand-new apartment at Aquamarine, a ten-minute drive east of Esentepe. We are now really looking forward to choosing tiles and interiors. The apartment is due to be completed in January 2019. We would also like to mention that we never felt any pressure to buy. As for the paperwork, everything was handled with a lawyer down there. Gunn and Otto from Evergreen came along, and we had it all sorted in a few hours. Gunn translated the entire contract for us, and we felt very safe. We can confidently recommend this to others.

  We got to know Gunn through Nord-Kypros.no, and it quickly turned into a viewing trip on which we only paid for our flights. We had ruled out Spain (too many tourists), Portugal (sea too cold), Greece (poor connections), Croatia (winters too cold) and a number of other places. We were pretty particular. Gunn took us around and showed us a lot of the culture and many other qualities of Northern Cyprus before we started looking at apartments – and then it was a done deal. Northern Cyprus has almost everything, away from mass tourism and charter tourism, and not least because of Gunn, we fell in love with the place and the culture. We ended up with a penthouse at Sea Magic Park, and quite quickly got to know other Norwegian, Swedish, Dutch and other interesting people in the neighbourhood. Both there and in the follow-up afterwards, Gunn has been a professional linchpin who made it easier to get settled in our local area. We give her our highest recommendation.

  We are a couple who had talked for a long time about buying an apartment somewhere warmer when we retire in 2018. We started the process in 2015, as we don't like to make hasty decisions. Our first criterion was that the seller should be Norwegian, as our language skills are not the best. We had holidayed in southern Cyprus many times and liked it very much for its climate, travel distance and culture. Our other criteria were that the area shouldn't be a Norwegian “ghetto”, that prices should be reasonable, that there should be snorkelling, that the apartment should be within walking distance of the sea, that there should be hiking nearby, and that we could rent it out when we weren't there. We started searching online at Christmas 2015 and found that Northern Cyprus seemed to meet our expectations. We got in touch with Gunn Eidhamar, who took us on a viewing trip at Easter 2016. Gunn showed us the surrounding areas, the sights, ready-to-move-in apartments in various price ranges and sizes, and some construction projects. We were also taken to Karpaz, the tip of Northern Cyprus – it was spring, everything was lush and green, a fantastic experience! So were the little villages, the markets and a “light” lunch at the nearby golf course; seeing the local area was important to us. On these outings and over dinner in the evenings, Gunn told us about the history of Northern Cyprus and the Turkish Cypriot people who live here, knowledgeable and engaging as she is. After five days we decided to reserve a two-bedroom penthouse with plenty of terrace space, a hundred metres from the sea! We certainly didn't feel pressured to buy – we could take all the time we needed. Gunn took us to a seasoned lawyer, where we signed the sales contract, and she translated it into Norwegian point by point, which we found very reassuring. Construction hadn't started, but the apartment is promised for completion by March 2018 at the latest, which suits us perfectly, as that is when we join the ranks of pensioners. We will also be able to influence the interior and make changes to a standard apartment, such as underfloor heating, lighting and air conditioning. Construction has now begun, and Gunn has sent us photos along the way. We have made a list of changes and additions that we know Gunn will follow up! We are extremely pleased with Gunn's follow-up, knowledge and integrity, and Carrington Group is lucky to have her as a partner.

  We have holidayed on Northern Cyprus several times, and the idea of a holiday apartment there gradually took shape. In the autumn of 2015 we contacted Gunn Eidhamar to join a viewing trip.
